Jackie finished the first grade this year, and I have her very first school picture to prove it. She may be wearing that cowgirl hat every day now, but that’s okay. Whitney keeps telling me that children must be free to express themselves, and I agree, even when we’re in church and Anise refuses to remove her princess hat.
I’m a very proud papa.

Before I met Whitney, I didn’t do much except excel at my work. She always enjoyed being outdoors, which surprises most people for some reason, and now I’m into it too. Our last vacation before our first daughter was born took place in Canada on the East coast, and we biked a lot of that trail. I am wearing designer sunglasses in this photo. Kenneth Cole. We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. The sand was a little hard on our wheels, but the drinks were perfect, and we kept them coming no matter how much they gummed up the works upstairs. Here is my favorite photo from our honeymoon.

This is the best of our wedding photos. The photographer broke down (literally), and it was the only one that wasn’t ruined. Whitney was pretty upset about that for that first year. We have a history with lost photos, you see.
